# Chat

> The global trollbox and per-market discussion rooms — live conversation with moderation built in.

Markets move on conversation. Monofin builds the conversation in: a global **trollbox** for everything, and a **discussion room on every market** for the people trading it.

## The trollbox

One persistent global chat for the whole app — a floating bubble on mobile, a docked panel on web. Odds get quoted like scores, big moves get called out in real time, and resolution nights feel like a stadium.

## Per-market rooms

Every market page has its own discussion room next to the ticket. This is where the traders in that specific market argue the thesis, post the news, and call the resolution. Slower and sharper than the trollbox — the place for reasoning, not just reactions.

## Moderation, built in from day one

Chat only works if it's usable. The full moderation stack ships with chat, not after it:

* **Slow mode** — a short cooldown between messages keeps the room readable when things get heated
* **Automatic filtering** — server-side profanity and link filtering; no external links or referral codes dropped in chat
* **Report and block** — long-press (or right-click) any message to report it; block any user to remove them from your view
* **Human review** — reports go to a moderation queue with a 24-hour review SLA
* **Mod badges** — moderator accounts are visibly badged, so you know who's official

> [!WARNING]
>
> Chat is for talk, not advice. Nobody official will ever DM you asking for funds, keys, or "verification." If someone does, report and block.
