# Markets overview

> Three kinds of markets on one board: event markets, crypto perpetuals, and real-world assets.

Monofin's home board puts three kinds of markets behind one balance and one watchlist. Each tab is a different way to trade what you believe.

> **[Event markets](/markets/event-markets)**
>
> YES/NO markets on real-world outcomes — politics, sports, crypto, macro, culture.

> **[Perpetual futures](/markets/perpetual-futures)**
>
> Long or short crypto with leverage, 24/7, no expiry.

> **[Real-world assets](/markets/real-world-assets)**
>
> Stocks, indices, commodities, and FX — around the clock.

## The home board

Your home board has four tabs:

| Tab | What's on it |
| - | - |
| **Events** | Live event markets — the outcome, the price in cents, the 24-hour move, and when it resolves |
| **Perps** | Top movers by volume and % change — BTC, ETH, HYPE, and more |
| **RWA** | Real-world asset markets — stocks, commodities, FX |
| **Watchlist** | Every market you've starred, across all three types |

Every market card follows the same rule: **one number, one move, one reason.** You should be able to scan the board in seconds and know exactly what changed and why.

## One balance, every market

All three market types trade from the same USDC balance. Win on an election market on Tuesday, rotate into a BTC perp on Wednesday, park what's idle in [Earn](/earn/what-is-monofin-earn) on Thursday — no transfers, no sub-accounts.

## How markets get listed

Markets on Monofin are **config, not code**. New markets are reviewed and enabled by the Monofin team from a curated registry — every listing has defined resolution rules, a category, and jurisdiction settings before it appears in the app. When a venue launches a new market, Monofin can list it the same day.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Not every market is available everywhere. Some categories — sports event markets, for example — are restricted in certain jurisdictions, and the board only shows you what's available where you live. See [Availability](/account/availability).
